Tyler Hilton’s Hardshell Acoustic Guitar Case for TH Books For Kids Charity
" I take my guitar case everywhere…I mean literally. This poor thing has seen everything from the most glamorous green rooms all the way down to the ones so dirty I thought twice about setting it on the ground. Airplanes, trains, cars, buses all over the world. I found my new live record Live in Atlanta on a burned CD at the bottom of it. I’ve kept charms, records, contacts, and random shit in it for years and now it’s time to put it out to pasture. One more plane flight might explode it. I just got a shiny new tough one without the personality, to replace it, and I know I’m gonna miss traveling with this heavy and vibey hunk of love but I think it’s worth it to auction of for a good cause. Enjoy all the adventure it has to offer and keep it safe for me! ”
So, two days ago I went to see Tyler Hilton live in Berlin… IT. WAS. AMAZING.
Here’s the setlist he posted on instagram…
And all of this with an acoustic guitar. His voice sounds so amazing live.
I have to say that I was a little bummed that he did not play “When It Comes” (because LOVE!) and “When The Stars Go Blue” (because BETHANY!). I was really looking forward to hearing those two songs live. But what was really exciting is that he played a part of “I Don’t Want To Be” during “Kicking My Heels”… the crowd went wild and everyone sang along really loud. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes. :’) And he dedicated “Missing You” to all the OTH fans in the crowd. Aww.
Tyler talked a lot about how he really likes Berlin and has never been so far east in his life. He also said that he loves the German beer, but that he can’t drink that much because it’s too strong and he’s not used to that lol. And before he played “Glad” he said that the song is about a girl from Germany that went to his high school for a semester abroad. Apparently that song was one of the reasons he got on OTH, so he said that he has to thank Germany for this.
The time went by really fast. That obviously sucked. But he said that he wants to meet everyone who was at his first show in Germany at the merch table. :) He was so nice, shook hands and had a short conversation with everyone. While my friend and I waited in line we thought about asking him to do the Chris Keller “well, well…” but then we forgot about it. :P When it was my turn to meet him, he shook my hand, asked for my name and signed his new “Live In Atlanta” album which I bought and which is pretty awesome! And I just said “nice to meet you and thank you so much for coming” and then I took my chance and asked for a hug. I had seen that other people did the same before so why not. :P And it was good. Hehe.
During the concert he said that he wants to come back to Europe asap and that we’ll be sick of him at some point. Uhh, I don’t think so. ;)
